HI IT'S ME AGAIN

my journey (so far)

I’m a Brownsville native and I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was 13. When I was 18, I moved to NYC to pursue theatre and acting and it was in my [Acting for Film] class that I realized that my heart was behind the camera and not in front of it. I graduated from my conservatory program in October of 2016, eventually moved back to the Valley, and by early 2019 I was living in Austin.

I spent an entire year working as a full-time birth photographer for a local company before the pandemic hit…which led me to start Brianna Nelson Photography. This project has allowed me to gradually move from newborns and births - to families and birthday parties - to portraits, couples, engagements, second shooting and weddings, which is where I thrive.

My inspiration stems from good music, good cinematography, and good company.

I appreciate a mix of the slower life and the city life. I love when a skyline feels like home. I love watching a well-crafted vision be brought to life. I love when people decide they want to celebrate themselves. I love when new lives and loves are brought into this world. And I love being a part of it all even more.
